Mr Singer is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with over 24 years experience in the field of hip and knee replacements and revisions. Educated locally at Bradfield College Berkshire, he graduated from The Royal London Hospital Medical School in 1985 and trained at University College Hospital, and then the North West Thames registrar rotation based at St Mary s Hospital Paddington. This included a year at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital working under the tutelage of Ms S Muirhead Allwood, and Prof Tim Briggs among others. His training was completed by a lower limb arthroplasty fellowship in California, at the University of California Los Angeles in 1997.

He specialises in primary total hip and knee replacement, metal on metal hip resurfacing, and revision hip surgery.  His practice profile  - in terms of numbers of patients - , can be viewed on the public portal of the National Joint Registry UK web site. This is an independently collected data base for comparing the activities of consultant orthopaedic surgeons.

He keeps up to date with the latest research and developments at the annual British Hip Society meetings, and regularly presents original research. He is a past reviewer of papers for the Hip section of The Bone and Joint Journal (Br). His appraisal and revalidation is kept up to date through his work at the local NHS Trust – Frimley Health. His personal development includes pursuing a high quality clinical practice, and continuing research in revision hip surgery and hip resurfacing.

He is actively involved in teaching and training of the Oxford and London rotating registrars.

He is married with three grown up children. He has a keen interest in playing classical / Spanish guitar, landscape gardening, tennis, and swimming.
